An endnote is a form of citation which is issued at the end of a research paper. In other words, It is a form of citation which refers the readers to a specific place at the end of the academic piece they can figure out the source of information or words quoted in the body of the paper. Depending on the nature of the paper and the referencing style used in the paper, the method of reference could be a super-scripted text or number which will be arranged either alphabetically or numerically.

However, the mode of citing an end-note tends to vary depending on the referencing style used.
